Hoboken May Deploy Border Collies to Tackle Its Goose Problem

The city approved an $18,995 contract with Geese Chasers, a NJ company that uses trained Border Collies to clear geese from parks. The dogs herd, not harm. Pier A and Pier C are first up, with daily patrols and a spring egg management program included.

Parking Fees Are Going Up — Residents Have Opinions

The council voted 6–3 to raise permit and meter costs — $100 for a first vehicle, $200 for the second, $300 for each additional. Neighboring towns charge a fraction of that; Secaucus charges nothing. Councilmen Russo and Presinzano called the hikes “hidden taxes.” First reading only — more debate ahead.

Hoboken Is Getting a Rainbow Bridge — and It Needs Your Help

Stevens students and local leaders — including Mayor Jabbour and Councilwoman Fisher — are raising $10,000 to build a pet memorial in Elysian Park. Anything beyond the build cost goes to Wise Animal Rescue.
