Hoboken Sets New Condo Record — $4.75M at Hudson Tea
A combined four-bedroom corner loft at 1500 Hudson Street just closed for $4.75 million, officially the priciest condo sale ever recorded in the mile square — roughly $1,500 per square foot. The previous record was set in the same complex in 2022. With inventory tight and prices still climbing, uptown Hoboken's waterfront keeps rewriting its own record books.

Citi Bike Gets a Fix — Region's First Overflow Parking Pilot Launches
Ever pulled up to a packed River Street dock with nowhere to park? The city has a fix. Hoboken and Jersey City launched a first-of-its-kind Citi Bike overflow parking pilot this week, creating geofenced zones near high-demand stations so e-bike riders can end their trips without hunting for a free dock. Annual ridership is approaching one million trips — and it shows.

Water Main Break on Madison Street — Service Restored
Wednesday morning, a broken water main on Madison Street between 2nd and 3rd left about 30 buildings with low or no pressure before crews wrapped emergency repairs by midday. If your tap is still running slow, Veolia Water says flush cold water until it runs clear, then resume normal use. Road closures in the area remain while crews complete repaving.

Jersey City Connects has been running these since 2021 and they're genuinely a great way to meet people — no awkward networking, just a walk, some coffee, and good conversation. Hoboken's nonprofit bookstore flips into a comedy club on Friday nights, and it never gets old. One of the mile square's best-kept secrets — probably shouldn't be.

Worth the trip across the river.

Three businesses under one roof tucked into Hudson Street: Susan Beth Design Studio (interior design), Hoboken Hat Bar (custom hat customization), and The Loop. It's a genuinely unusual concept for the mile square — part boutique, part creative workspace, part event space for workshops, date nights, and private parties. Owner Susan Beth has been quietly building something that neighborhood regulars know about and newcomers stumble into and immediately tell their friends. Open Wed–Fri 10–7, Sat 10–5, Sun 12–5. Worth a stop if you've never been in.
